Financing/Extended service contracts

A vehicle service contract from DOWC that pays for covered mechanical and electrical repairs, on the house and, for motorhomes, the chassis. Buy it here and the shop that sold it does the repair, files the claim and bills the administrator.
Why buy it here
Coverage
We sell Level 2, exclusionary coverage: every mechanical and electrical breakdown is covered except the items on the exclusions list.
Breakdowns on the house side and, for motorhomes, the chassis.
Things that wear, things you maintain, and things that aren't mechanical.

Tires and wheels damaged by potholes, nails, debris or curbs, repaired or replaced. Covers the RV and the truck while it's towing.
The standard plan plus trailer brakes and suspension: actuators, drums, axles, spindles, bearings.

Questions
No, it's a service contract. In practice: something covered breaks, the administrator authorizes the repair, and the contract pays for it. With a $0 deductible you pay nothing on a covered repair. Already own an RV? It needs our inspection first, and anything found is a pre-existing condition.
Level 1 is a list of covered parts; anything not on the list isn't covered. Level 2 is exclusionary — everything is covered except the exclusions list. We sell Level 2. If you're quoted a much cheaper RV contract somewhere else, ask which one it is.
Call us. We diagnose, then get authorization from the administrator before the repair — that's the contract's one hard rule. Work done without prior authorization isn't reimbursed. Once it's approved we do the repair and bill DOWC directly. In California, claims can also be filed at apsclaim.com around the clock, or by phone at 1-860-415-4608.
Usually. The contract allows mobile repairs with the administrator's prior authorization, which we request as part of the claim. The service-call benefit (up to $125) covers most of our mobile call-out.
Yes. In California, cancel within 60 days of purchase and you get a full refund if no claim has been paid — no fee. After 60 days, the refund is pro-rated by the months you haven't used, less any claims paid and a fee of $25 or 10% of the price, whichever is smaller. If the contract was financed, the refund goes to the lender.
The contract transfers once to the next private owner. Send the transfer form and bill of sale to the administrator within 30 days of the sale, with a $100 fee. A transferable service contract is a real selling point on a used RV.
From $399 a year for a towable, $749 for a motorhome. Give us the year, make and model and we'll quote it, and tell you whether we'd buy it.
