Before you get the keys

What we do to every unit before delivery

The warranty is the backstop. This is the part that keeps you from needing it.

Running gear

Bearings and brakes

Any bearing play or brake fault we find is fixed before delivery, at no charge. Suspension is inspected and disclosed, not warranted.

Tires

Dated, not guessed

Tires seven years or older by DOT date are replaced. Tires five to seven years old are disclosed to you in writing. Pressures are checked and set.

Safety devices

Detectors and extinguisher

Smoke, CO and propane detectors and the fire extinguisher are replaced if they're expired or expire within 90 days.

Disclosed in writing

Anything we found and didn't fix is written on the sale. You know what you're buying before you sign, not after.

The warranty

What's covered for 30 days

Parts and labor, no deductible, on a mechanical or electrical failure in the first 30 days. Motorhomes: 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Covered, if it breaks

  • Refrigerator, furnace, water heater, A/C, range and microwave
  • Slide-out motors, pumps and controls
  • Awning motors and hardware
  • Converter, inverter, 12V and 120V wiring, control panels
  • Water pump, plumbing, tanks and valves
  • Leveling jacks, stabilizers and electric steps
  • Axles, bearings and brakes
  • Motorhomes: engine, transmission and drivetrain

Not covered, if it didn't break

  • Adjustments: slide-outs, doors, latches, awnings, steps and jacks that work but need tuning
  • The roof: sealant, seams and leaks
  • Anything disclosed to you in writing at the sale
  • Cosmetic items: trim, upholstery, flooring, decals, scratches, dings
  • Suspension components: springs, shackles, equalizers, shocks
  • Maintenance items: tires, batteries, bulbs, filters, fluids, seals and caulking
  • Damage after delivery: collision, weather, rodents, freezing, misuse
  • Incidental damage: anything a failure damages besides the part itself, and costs like towing, lodging or lost trips
  • Aftermarket accessories and anything you or another shop installed

The rule is simple: if it didn't break, it isn't a warranty claim. Adjustments and tune-ups are regular service at the published rate.

How to use it. Call or text (916) 836-8602 and tell us what it's doing. Warranty repairs are done by us, so bring it back to Lincoln. No claim forms, no deductible. The warranty covers you for 30 days from delivery and isn't transferable if you sell.

After day 30

Keep the coverage going

Service contracts

Our warranty covers the first 30 days. An RV Guard service contract picks up where it ends: mechanical and electrical breakdowns, for one to eight years, with a $0 deductible. We sell it, we file the claims, and we do the repairs in our own shop.

  • Exclusionary coverage. Everything mechanical and electrical is covered except a short list of exclusions.
  • No claim forms. Call us, we diagnose, get it authorized and bill the administrator directly.
  • Roadside and trip benefits included with every plan.
  • Add it at purchase and it can usually go in the loan. It doesn't cover anything that's already broken, so the time to buy it is before something does.

Questions

Buying FAQ

Does the warranty apply to consignment units?

Yes. A consigned RV goes through the same inspection and pre-delivery work as one we own, and it carries the same 30-day warranty.

Can I have another shop do a warranty repair?

No. Warranty repairs are done by us in Lincoln. We don't reimburse repairs done elsewhere, so call us first.

Is the warranty transferable if I sell the RV?

No. It covers the original buyer for 30 days from delivery and ends if the RV changes hands. An RV Guard service contract, by contrast, transfers once to the next owner.

Can I bring my own lender?

Yes. Credit unions often beat dealer-arranged RV rates. Get their approval, bring the paperwork, and we'll write the deal to match.

Where is the lot?

Sales happen at our Lincoln location, open 9 to 5, seven days. West Sacramento is service only. Address and directions.

"I hired Unplug RV to inspect the RV prior to purchase. They took their time and found every little thing that was an issue. I then hired them to fix everything."
